In May 2014 GEF SGP UNDP and the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College signed a Communique to collaborate in:

  • Building a network of support through which CSOs can access funding as well as technical advice and assistance in designing and implementing projects in the GEF Focal Areas;  and
  • Fostering research, building capacity and capability among CSOs, providing technical assistance towards increasing their absorptive capacity of donor funding, ensuring that Monitoring and Evaluation is an integral part of all projects and identifying, deriving and sharing lessons learned from projects as part of their respective Knowledge Management Strategies.

On 15th January 2019, the GEF SGP UNDP signed a letter of collaboration with the Saint Lucia Hotel and Tourism Association (SLHTA). This letter lays the foundation for the long term joint funding of projects in the areas of:

  • Climate Change
  • Biodiversity Conservation
  • Land Degradation
  • International Waters
  • Chemicals and Waste

Both organisations will share their expertise and financing with Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), towards achieving the objectives of environmental sustainability, poverty reduction and capacity development.
