The project objectives are: (i) to inform CSOs and the broader Saint Lucian community of the international priorities to be considered by the Third International SIDS Conference and to initiate discussions on them; (ii) to identify and document the priorities of Saint Lucian CSOs which can form part of their statement to the 3rd International SIDS Conference; and (iii) to establish an interim framework for sustaining CSO consultation, participation and partnerships beyond Samoa in the sustainable development of Saint Lucia.

This project will contribute to the GEF SGP OP 5 outcome as follows: Capacities and capabilities of CSOs enhanced and strengthened to engage in consultative processes, apply knowledge management to ensure adequate information flows, implement convention guidelines, and monitor and evaluate environmental impacts and tends.
